Woodbridge Full Wedding Photography Post - Christina + Marco

"Buddy, You were Amazing.  Thank you so much, we all loved working with you.  Everyone loved your style and how could they not, you were phenomenal"  These were Marco's words that I heard on my answering machine the very next day after their wedding, right before they hopped on a plane to Aruba.  It just shows the kind of people Chris + Marco are: Fun, loveable, caring and genuine.  Marco took the time to thank me for everything and it's moments like that which make me thankful to do what I do.  To know that I made a difference on their wedding day, I ensured that they were happy with no added stress.  I captured THEIR moments and told THEIR story.  It was beautiful.

The day was amazing...From the moment I arrived at Marco's parents house and met the guys, who were so awesome to work with, ate some of his delicious crust like pie stuffed with brie cheese and other delightful treats which excited my taste buds...To Christina's place, greeting the beautiful bridesmaids while they watch Chris sit in her chair wearing her bra, having her make up "DID" before the big day.  See I have been friends with Chris for a while so she didn't mind me seeing her in her bra, she is completely cool like that, lol.  (Love You Chris :))  Just a side note, her dress was absolutely stunning.  I wish I got the name of the place she got it at, I would have linked it for you future brides out there.  It was incredible and she looked unbelievable in it.

These 2 are so amazing...Marco, the calm, cool and collective Italian with an incredibly huge heart.  Chris, the wild, antsy, unpredictable and giddy girl eagerly anticipating what seemed like her very first date with a boy are a remarkable couple and two great indiviudal who you can't love but be around.  It's never a dull moment around them.

Chris + Marco, from the bottom of my heart, I love you guys and I am thankful that I got to photograph the beginning of your lives together as husband and wife.  Enjoy the photos.  :)

Mayan Riviera - Andreia + Martin re-post

Yes, I have already blogged about this...but we are talking well over a year ago...A lot has changed since their wedding including technology and I felt the urge to be creative...Which I tend to get every so often.

I was going through some of my destination wedding photos because my cousin Frank Cardona asked me to send him some for his business, (link and details coming soon).  A brief description - A destination based company...You tell him where you want to go and he will tell you how and where to go...He has been in the travel and tourism business for years and he is doing some big things...Including plans for destination weddings in which I will be referred to as the photographer.  So if you or anyone else you know is getting married outside the country give me a call and we could definitely set something up.

Back to Andreia + Martin.  A couple of weeks ago I get a phone call from my dad, my dad and I were the ones who flew down to the Mayan together to shoot their wedding.  One of the best times of my life, I loved it.  I met so many cool and interesting people and made life long friendships.  I couldn't ask for more...Destination weddings are stunning.  I am a person who believes that beauty can be seen all around us, but as soon as you step into another country your awareness becomes heightened.  You are entering unknown territory and for a photography artist it's like a kid going into a HUGE Candy Store...My eyes grow wide and my senses begin to react...It's an amazing feeling experiencing things for the first time...It's like a blank canvas and you have so many ideas flowing through your head you don't know where to start.

Anyways, so my father calls me and says "guess who I'm with right now?" My response is..."Who Dad?"  Andreia + Martin, their new baby girl MAYA nicknamed after THE MAYAN where they got married...is that not awesome??? I guess I should mention that we never get the chance to see them because they live in Vancouver.  They had the wedding down in the Mayan so that families from all over could meet in one beautiful tropical location to celebrate their day... he tells me the rest of the crew is there as well and that I should come by, unfortunately I had other arrangements so I was disappointed that I couldn't attend.  Luckily my dad and step mother are very hospitable people who know how to  host a get together, so the very next day they invited them all over for dinner...It was awesome, I love them...And Maya is absolutely adorable...

I decided to re-edit some of their wedding photos, I guess you can consider this my gift to them.  Congratulations Andreia + Martin, may all of your days be full of happiness, love and laughter.

Giuditta

What a blast this woman is...Full of life, joy and positivity.  Pay attention to her name because I am certain you will be hearing a lot about her.  Giuditta Costanzo, a beautiful woman with a multitude of talent and energy.  She knows exactly what she wants out of life and ... she knows how to get it!!!  She is awesome.

I was honoured when she asked me to do her shoot, I actually couldn't wait.  It was her first time being in front of a professional lens but let me tell you how much of a natural she is...The girl worked it like she was a natural born model, I LOVED IT!!!

Giuditta has a few things on the go and as soon as she has links up to everything she is going to achieve, you will see them here.  In the meantime enjoy these photos.

Expect The Unexpected + Appreciate The Unpredictable

One aspect of my job that I truly love is the ability to capture priceless moments. So priceless that it could bring tears to the eyes of those who see it. One photograph can truly tell a story and I like to consider myself a story teller. I LOVE IT!

These priceless, unexpected moments are always present in our lives and we never know when they will come but one lesson we should all learn is to expect it. I am sure we have heard the phrase "expect the unexpected" before... But I not only anticipate it, I also appreciate the unpredictable.

Life is full of unpredictable moments, but isn't that one of the most beautiful aspects of life? The fact that we DON'T know what is going to happen next... it may be good or it may be bad, who knows??? That's life! If it's something bad, we don't fall down, we pick ourselves up and learn from whatever may have unexpectedly knocked us down, what doesn't defeat us will only make us stronger.

A lot of times life will throw us unexpected, incredible joys and how great of a feeling is it to experience these beautiful moments? Life would be too simple if we always knew what would happen next, it would be boring and predictable. One long, straight, boring road. The fact is, life isn't long, straight and boring. It's full of twists, turns, hills, sunsets, sunrises and so much more...

I say, APPRECIATE the fact that we never know what tomorrow has in store for us. Anticipate and recognize simple priceless moments in your lives...life is too short to continuously worry about every little thing.

In light of today's topic, I though I would show just a couple of beautiful, priceless unpredictable moments from Christina + Marco's Wedding.

Enjoy and as always if you agree or disagree, I would love to hear what you think...Leave a comment :)

Christina + Marco - Teaser...kind of

This was supposed to be a teaser post and a teaser post normally consists of 1 maybeeee 2 photos at the most, but I just could not resist. I was going through the photos and I kept seeing ones that I wanted to put up immediately. I felt like a kid in a candy store!!! I love my job, really I do... being able to capture such beautiful images while working with such awesome people truly is a gif that I am thankful for. I want to thank my daddy for getting me into this business mr. bert moniz who did all the cinematography for this wedding. Stay tuned for clips!!!

At this moment Chris + Marco are off enjoying their wonderful honeymoon and here I am anxiously awaiting for them to come home just so they have a chance to see these photos...I know they are gonna love them.

Chris + Marco, I love you guys. I've known you for a few years now and I am GRATEFUL that I photographed your wedding. You are truly beautiful and unique people who make others happier when you are around them. I am not only your photographer but your very good friend and anything you ever need I will be here. I loved working with you and your entire families. The wedding was AMAZING!!! I hope you are having a blast on Vacay!!!

It started pouring rain on Saturday, but for about 45 mins the rain cleared up and we took advantage of the beautiful scenery, while the bridal party acted like a bunch of hooligans driving the golf carts around the venue...lol

In the meantime, here are just a few photos from the wedding. What a beautiful venue!!!

Niagara '09 | Sofia

Ahhhh, the sun is finally beginning to shine here in the T. dot...What better way to brighten up my day then to add some beautiful photos of the most adorable 2 1/2 year old on the planet. My gorgeous sister Sofia. We took a tiny family trip to Niagara, just for one night and of course I brought my camera along. I did however learn a valuable lesson during our one night trip...Never let my mother make any food decisions.

enjoy

Random Tuesday ...

It was an awesome long weekend...

Went up to Grand Bend! For thos of you who are unfamiliar with it, I highly suggest you check it out. Beautiful beach with an awesome little strip. It's pretty nice considering it's Ontario. If you have any other beach suggestions please feel free to fill me in :) Even if it's in another country, I will be sure to write it down on my list of places to visit. I absolutely love beaches :)

Sunday I checked out the Cutting Edge Music Festival and that was AMAZING. I hung out at the Bud camp all day and saw Bedouin Soundclash preform and The Roots!!! For those of you who have never seen The Roots Perform, I strongly recommend you consider seeing them. I was never a huge fan but Sunday night changed my life for sure!!! A special thanks goes out to those of you who made this weekend super special, you know who you are!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekends and before I leave I have to write what I learned this weekend! I am really learning a lot and living my life the way I want to live and I have to say how incredible it is. This is only the tip of the iceberg but things seem to be falling into place. I am doing what I feel like doing! I believe we have the ability to create our own reality. Reality is based on what we think it is. We create our own lives and it is absolutely true. You have to believe in this for it to work. You can't just think about what you want your life to be like for one day and then expect it all to change. It has to happen everyday and you can't doubt it... you live it, you breathe it, you think it and it will happen. You will begin to attract everything you want as long as you keep thinking about it and eliminate all exterior negative vibes. This doesn't mean that it is going to fall into your lap, NOBODY is going to hand you anything. In the business of being creative you have to actually create it. set realistic goals for yourself and do it!

The best way to start is TO START.

I recently discovered that "life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself." I heard this quote before but now I truly understand it. You can be anyone you want to be, your mind, your thoughts and your words will help you become that person. :)

Again a blog post just isn't the same without a photo or 2...So here is one from the Gabby photoshoot that I absolutely loved, and one from this weekend with my buddy Mauro...It looks like a Dos Equis ad. "STAY THIRSTY, my friends."
