Sneak Peak #2 Plus a catch up!

Wow,

It's been a long while since I have blogged, and oddly enough, I missed it. My blog has become a means for me to say what's on my mind, what motivates and inspires me. Life is beautiful and I want to share my experiences with you. So keep reading and following, I promise I won't take too much of a break.

It seems as if June has been super busy leaving me with barely enough time to myself. Lesson learned: Do not overwork yourself, and don't take on more than you can handle! Now, I admit I have taken on a lot, but I am capable of handling it. I just can't help myself, I love taking photos and any opportunity that I get to shoot becomes hard to turn down. I love what I do and I am thankful that I am getting all of these opportunities to photograph beautiful people, places and events so here is where I stop complaining.

I wanted to write down a little quote I read recently that I absolutely LOVE and it goes a little something like this: "Walk with today, never fall backwards on yesterday and don't step to quick towards tomorrow. Today is a process that leads to the finish line of tomorrow." I love that!!! People tend to think TOO MUCH about the future, which is important, but if you start over thinking things u start to lose the creativity, love and passion. Your dream might start becoming another task that you just want to complete. Get it over and done with. That's not how achieving your goals and aspirations work. The journey should be compelling, the process should be fun, creative and interesting. Of course you want to think futuristically but if you just walk with today and go with the flow, you keep heading in the right direction and your having a blast on your way!

Thanks for reading...Comment :)

Here are a couple of pics from Jen & Rogerio's wedding. Stay tuned for a ton of pics from this wedding plus some photo shoot I will be doing.

Just another one of those glory days...

No photos today people, but I was listening to JUST JACK - GLORY DAYS and the main course really stood out in my head and it went a little something like this..."It's just another one those glory days, jump out your bed, shake your head, clear the haze. Step out your house and prepare to be amazed. It's just another one of those glory days."

How awesome is that? We should all be waking up in the morning with a smile on our face because we are alive and there is so much to see in this world and in our lifetime. We need to stop taking things for granted, and appreciate the little things that may slip beneath our noses. You need to "step out your house and prepare to be amazed" by the world! Take it all in and enjoy it, life is too short to worry and stress over things that aren't that important.

How many times do you encounter a "so called disaster" and stress over it? Next time that happens, think about this: "Frame every so called disaster with these words: In 5 years, will this matter?" Your answer to that question should help you ease your mind.

Take a deep breath and smile because life is a gift, and we are only here once. Let's make the most of it :)

Jen & Rogerio

You know when you meet a couple and you can instantly tell that they are perfect for eachother??? Well, Jen & Roger are those people...Fun, Easy going, care free and happy. That is why it is always such a joy to photograph them. Their wedding was this weekend, and I had a blast. I had a smile on my face from morning until night, or shall I say the next morning...I was there all the way up until the DJ played their final song...I couldn't resist :) It was a great party, and a great day.

Love is a beautiful gift, and to know that you have found that one person who you can laugh with, cry with and share the rest of your life with is one of the greatest feelings in the world. One reason why I love my job so much, is because I am constantly surrounded by love and it's quite inspiring. I don't want to sound cheesy but witnessing the connection between every couple really can put a smile on a persons face and being able to capture those priceless moments with my camera is something I am thankful for.

Jen & Roger, I love you guys and I wish you nothing but the best in the future.

Enjoy some photos from the wedding, and please do not hesitate to comment, it really means a lot to me :)

Just a Random...plus some photos

Ok so, I came across this pretty cool saying...Some people may recognize it and others may not, regardless of the fact, I find it very inspiring and true. I'm trying to get better at this blogging thing, I want this to be more personal, unfortunately I don't think I am the greatest writer, I'm seriously contemplating hiring someone to write this all out for me, but where would the fun be in that??? Anyways, read this...I am sure a lot of you will like it.

And if you know where it's from, keep the secret to yourself, I don't really want word getting out, if you know what I mean ;)))

"Because even when your not sure where your headed, it helps to know your not going there alone. No one has all the answers and sometimes the best we can do is just apologize and let the past be the past. Other times we need to look to the future and know that even when we think we have seen it all, life can still surprise us and we can still surprise ourselves."

On another note, I have to leave you with some photos. I recently did a photoshoot for a hairstylist at Fortelli Hair Salon in Mississauga. Honestly a great group of people, but the man of the hour is a very talented gentleman who goes by the name of Toufic. He is entering a competition and he asked me to take some photos for him, and I agreed without hesitation. I was there all day, and it was a blast. I got to work with 2 awesome models, Jen and Caroline. Caroline was new at the whole "modeling" thing, but she pulled through and she had a good time. I look forward to doing some more work with Signore Toufic.

I hope you enjoyed this post, as always feedback is more than welcome...On anything...I would love to hear from you.

Madhu & Riaz Sneak Peak

So the day finally came, the much anticipated wedding of the beautiful couple, Riaz and Madhu. I have to admit, it was a pretty tiring day, because it was full of so many events...But I held my own and I kept up, thanks to my trusty 3 person camera crew, Luis & Bert. We had a blast with everyone, and I am super excited that I got to photograph their wedding. I took a ton of pictures, as you could imagine, especially with a 3 person team, so for now I am going to give everyone a little sneak peak...

You will notice my logo on the pictures, I am in the process of changing it up, and I would love to hear your input. One is more of a simple, sexy, classy look, while the other is a bit more creatively artistic. Tell me what you think, leave a comment. Or if there is a graphic designer out there who wants to help me design a new logo and business card, maybe I could put together a competiton. Best design wins a prize, and the prize will be determined if I get enough feedback :)

And for those of you who do not have me on twitter...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? ADD ME: Julian Moniz

Here are a few pictures from the wedding, with more to come...plus stay tuned for more projects. It's going to be a busy month :)

roguesix

So I have decided to make my blog a little more personal!!! My mind is always full of positive lessons I learn every day, which I tend to always write down in my trusty iphone. Then I realized, why not share it with everyone? The goal is to get those followers who are interested in my work, also interested in me. I have people who have an incredible influence on me, and I would love to have that impact on just one person. Soooo, on that note, STAY TUNED to my blog, leave comments, become a follower. Every little ounce of support helps motivate me to keep doing what I am doing. Look for me on twitter! Julian Moniz

For now, I will show you a few photographs from a band photo session that I photographed last week. Roguesix, an up and coming band, with a ton of talent, and awesome charisma. Their drive is inspiring, and they are definitely headed in a positive direction. Definitely check out some of their stuff on myspace. It was their first professional shoot, and I have to admit, as unfamiliar and uncomfortable as they were in the beginning, they really pulled it off. Keep your eyes and ears open for this band!!!

I'm looking forward to their next photoshoot, when they are big and famous!!! Keep doing what your doing, and don't worry about the fame. As long as you love the music you are producing, and your fans recognize your passion, you will experience great success!!!
