Jen + Jorge E Session

So where do I begin with these two???

I met them at Tanya + Luc's wedding...I had a slideshow playing containing a few photos from the wedding day.  Jen approached me, with a tall man lurking behind her and asked if I was Julian..."Yes" I responded..."Your photos are beautiful" Jen says.  And for the next 20 minutes Jen and I talked in the middle of the dance floor.  She introduced me to this giant man and I also met her son who's name happens to be...JULIAN!

They came in shortly after and I soon realized that this GIANT man was one of the coolest, calmest, gentlest guys I have ever met...his name was Jorge and together they are awesome.

They left my office and called me 20 minutes later telling me that they decided to book, came right back and left their deposit and the rest is history.

We shot their E Session at a few locations starting with Jorge's favourite basketball court and from there I just went with the flow.

Jen + Jorge, you guys are incredible and I can't wait until your wedding day...I know it's going to be wild!

A Balanced Lifestyle + One More from Rob + Stef

I was listening to a song by Bon Iver called "Skinny Love" and there is a moment in the song when he mentions something about BEING PATIENT, BEING FINE, BEING BALANCED AND BEING KIND! And I loved it, if you follow me on facebook you'll know I am all about the inspirational quotes. Sayings that inspire me throughout the day that I try to share it with people in hopes that I could encourage just one person to think differently for a day or even to put a smile on their face.

This line in the song, made me think about how important it is to live a balanced lifestyle.  Now, balanced to you  means something different to me but I would want you to think about everything you would want to do throughout the day and at least TRY to do it.

Doing this might be tough at first because it would mean a switch to your regular routines, but once you get into the habit of this new routine you will be so thankful you read this post :)  Change is great!  Set a weekly goal, write it in your calendar and stick to it.  You just have to be disciplined, after all "Without a passion for discipline, the most beautiful of dreams have zero value." - Unknown

I always try to make sure my day consists of the following:
- > Me time - I usually wake up in the morning, lie in bed for 10 mins, stretch, put my headphones on and make an amazing breakfast shake full of nutrients :)
- > Exercise - Usually Yoga, or the gym.
- > Work time - This is when I return emails, blog, edit, sort through photos, Market...EVERYTHING relating to work.
- > Personal Goals - I try to schedule in some personal goal planning if possible..
- > Reading - I try to read at least 40  pages a day
- > Leisure time - Time with my friends or family.  You always have to make time for this.  The right people will always bring balance to your life.
- > And time to REST... After a certain time I stop everything and I rest...my mind clears and I do whatever I want

So try and make time for yourself and remain balanced...I promise you over time you will be so happy you did:)

A blast from the past...

So, Jen & Roger finally decided to place their order...Shame on you for taking so long.  I guess they were too busy enjoying their marriage and getting PREGNANT!!! Congrats Jen & Roger...You guys will always hold a special place in my heart.  You kick started my career!  You were the very first contract I ever signed and things have continued to pick up ever since!!!

While going through the order, I re-edited some of your photos and I had to showcase them because I fell in love once again.  So consider this my little gift to the two of you...A little reminder of your amazing wedding and a BIG THANK YOU from me for just being you!

I have to say again how much I love my job and especially the relationships I build with my clients.  You are all amazing in your own way, and I love spending time with you and getting to know you.  I had a blast photographing all of my past weddings and to all of my future clients...I can't wait to artistically document your wedding :)  It only gets better!

The Frozen Tundra | Stef + Rob E-Session Full Post

I can't say enough about these 2 amazingly beautiful people.  Genuine, loving, caring compassionate, beautiful (inside + out) and the list goes on.  Stef + Rob are the kind of people that would fly to the moon and back for the people they love in their life, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!  Being around them brings out so much love and energy and I love every single minute of it!!!  I love you guys :)

Rob is one of my best friends (DJ M Kutz) brothers.  I've known him for years and ever since I can remember he has been madly in love with Stef.  I don't think I ever recall a time when they haven't been together, at least not while I've been around.  But the beautiful thing about these 2 is that they have remained incredibly in love since the very first moment they laid eyes on eachother.  It feels as if when they are together they are beyond happy and nothing else in the world matters except for them and the people they surround themselves with.  If I ever find love I would want it to be very much like theirs...So real, so genuine and simple.  They compliment each others lives and it's an inspiration.

Rob proposed to Stef in their new condo in Downtown, Toronto.  When it finally opened  after years of construction they got the key and planned on meeting at the condo to see it and take measurements.  Ps. Stef is an interior designer, so you can imagine how anxious she has been to decorate.  Well, measurements wasn't the only "to do" on the agenda.  Propose to Stef was number 1 on that list.

I've been so excited about their wedding I haven't been able to contain myself, The engagement session took place in a few locations one being the beach during winter (hence the blog title "Frozen Tundra") and ending off at their condo.

I am posting a lot of E-Session photos because I am in love with all of them and I will be making a guest sign in book for them which I can't wait for.

Stef + Rob, from the bottom of my heart I absolutely love you guys and i can't wait for the wedding!

E-Session Teaser | Stef + Rob

WARNING, This is only a teaser...

I want to save my words for the full E-Session post.

However, I will say this...I'm really pumped for this E-Session because Stef + Rob opted for one of my signature Guest Sign in Books which I plan on using as a studio sample.  So they are my models :)  Once the book comes in i'm definitely gonna blog about it.

Until the full post, check out this sample photo.  One of my favourites, and it's hard to narrow it down because I have a lot!
